Needless to say, my two cards are pretty run of the mill compared with the beautiful samples provided by the Purple Onion DT...But that's OK. I am happy with how they turned out...also happy that I completed two in a shortish period of time. I find that once I have an increased level of pain in my knee, nothing goes well and I may as well give up for the day. But today has been OK. Plus my daughter came for lunch with her two furry bundles of excitement which was lovely. My own very special constant companion died (peacefully, at home, and of old age), last July, so an unexpected doggy fix is just lovely, as long as I guard my knee from impromptu leaps and enthusiasms. Pig doesn't agree at all, but I think I may have said he was a bit of a grump...
Card the first...
I love this little image, "Sunny Blooms", it's quirky and cute like most of Stacy's stamps and very easy to colour. The sentiment is from "The Sweetest Day" sentiment set. I used my Derwent Inktense pencils for this image, on a heavy but smooth cotton watercolour paper, Arches Smooth 300GSM).
A little greeny gold embroidery thread, a Bazzill Liquorice Twist card base and a mat from one of Kaisercraft's Take Note Collection papers which I love. (The other side is great too!). Wonderful paper for anyone a little tongue tied, don't you think? I popped the watercolour panel up on some dimensional tape, in case of warping.
